We had a intimate Powhiri to welcome us in the “Chapel” at Peppers which has amazing views over the lake. The performers were very talented and a Pounamu was gifted to the moderator (this was a surprise!)
Had a forum meeting in the amazing lodge accommodation which is large with incredible views. Then dinner out at a good local restaurant (Atticus Finch) then an evening tour of Te Puia to see the geysers and learn some interesting local history.
Next morning we had a speaker then lunch out and went to Canopy Tours Abseiling. That night dinner was cooked onsite for us by Karena and Kasey Bird who are previous masterchef winners. MÄori themed meal – amazing. Checked out next morning 11am after an internal presentation .
